“Life Begins at Heights: Serenity Meets at the High Point of Design.”
In Çukurambar, Ankara's rising district, a sculpture of life rises, gracefully interweaving the urban fabric. In this project, we are building not just a residence, but a new interpretation of urban life.
The design process begins with the dynamics of the site: In this area, vibrant at all hours of the day, the building needed to be not just a residence, but a public interface, a city stage. A form that would align with the city's rhythm while simultaneously breathing in its essence was sought.
The building's formal language speaks to the sky as much as it does to the topography. As the residential blocks rise on parallel surfaces, the spaces created between them create a permeability that maintains a connection with the sky. This allows not only light but also life to flow uninterrupted.
The ground floor, however, is not only an entrance; it is a social space, a city ground. Open courtyards, reflecting pools, and circulation axes create an experience that is both inviting and guiding. The landscaping was designed to offer not only a visual but also an emotional atmosphere—paths softened by rustic stones, interior gardens enriched by the sound of water, and balanced by shade-preferring plant species.
In this project, the curvilinear façade movement is not merely an aesthetic gesture; it translates to wider interior views, increased daylight, and enhanced views. This curvature is also a gesture that adds dynamism to the building and transforms the urban skyline.
