Concept
Layers extending into the sky, a contemporary life integrated with the city.
Megaron Quattro Izmir, designed by Korucuoğlu as a concept project in 2022, is an example of high-density, multifunctional urban design that integrates with Izmir's dynamic urban fabric. This composition, comprised of four main towers and surrounding horizontal blocks, is supported by public open spaces and commercial use scenarios.
The project establishes a strong ground-level connection network with axes that support urban circulation, while creating both landscape and social space solutions through layered terraces. Each terrace offers a unique opportunity for use: sometimes a café, sometimes a green space, or a meeting point. This layered design language offers the project both an iconic silhouette and scalable user experiences.
The contrast of glass surfaces and horizontally extending white panels gives the building both a lightness and a contemporary architectural aesthetic. This material language adapts to Izmir's light and climate conditions, while the dynamism of the façade allows for controlled daylight entry.
Megaron Quattro stands out not only for its high-rise buildings but also for the relationship these structures establish with the surrounding environment. This project, articulated as an elegant intervention into the city's silhouette, aims to transform both the user and the city by nourishing social use areas with a spatial hierarchy.
