Age Office, a sophisticated response to Ankara's rising business potential, is a 36,000-square-meter visionary project launched in 2016 by Age Construction. Embodying form, function, and elegance in an architectural blend, the building is not merely an office; it also creates a powerful signature on the city skyline, a sense of belonging, and the embodiment of prestige.
The project's formal language develops around two main masses: one, a cylindrical volume with a glass surface that reflects daylight onto the city with its dynamic curves, and the other, a linear tower block that rises vertically, giving the space both a serious and modern character. The contrast between these two represents not only a formal contrast but also the dynamism and reassuring stability of the business world.
The retail and public spaces located at ground level allow the project to establish a strong connection with the city. These commercial spaces, planned at a human scale, integrate into daily life, enabling the building to transcend the status of a static office block. Open spaces surrounded by landscape are not merely passageways, but serene welcomes that invite users into the building and soften its architectural expression.
The glass surfaces used in the façade design create a vibrant surface that reflects light and the sky throughout the day. Each façade takes on different atmospheres at different times of the day, giving the building the feeling of a living organism. In the evening, the light emanating from the interior transforms this contemporary structure into an urban beacon.
The horizontally extending plinth creates permeability on an urban scale, while the vertical tower structure exhibits a contrasting yet complementary approach to this horizontality. This relationship demonstrates that architecture is not merely a three-dimensional composition but also a functional scenario.
