Anka Kervansaray brings a new meeting point to the city by reinterpreting the trade stops of the past with contemporary urban aesthetics.
The Anka Kervansaray Project, situated on a 95,500 m² site strategically located on the Çankaya axis, reimagines the historical caravanserai typology with a contemporary interpretation. The complex, with its courtyard-centered spatial organization, provides uninterrupted pedestrian circulation in both open and semi-open spaces. The terraced masses add rhythmic dynamism to the city's skyline, shading the public space and establishing a visual connection with the city. The glass surfaces and perforated panels used on the façades create a balance of transparency and permeability, allowing natural light to deeply penetrate the interior spaces. The landscape design fosters social interaction spaces by fostering a balanced combination of hardscape and green space. Thus, Anka Kervansaray integrates both commercial and social functions, bridging the gap between a historical reference and contemporary urban life.
