A youthful dynamism shaped by the geometry of function.
Located in the heart of Kırıkkale, AP University VIP was designed as a student living complex tailored to the needs of a young user base. The building's massing was designed to create an L-shaped, inward-facing courtyard, which acts as the heart of the building and provides a significant space for both socialization and indoor air conditioning.
The anthracite surfaces and accentuated blue details used on the exterior give the building a contemporary and energetic identity, while modular window systems are repeated throughout the building, creating a rhythmic layout. The glass box-shaped common space volumes provide visual transparency between the building and the street, strengthening the interior-exterior relationship.
The planned landscaping elements in the interior courtyard, supported by palm trees and seating areas, create a semi-open socializing platform for the building's users. This interior space, thanks to its transparent roof designed to capture daylight from above, is designed to be actively used throughout the year.
The project aims to optimize both horizontal and vertical movement, combining the user experience with spatial quality. Transparency, repetition, and the use of accented color feature strongly in the project, acting as both guiding and defining elements of the material language.
